Our handmade Veggie Chorizo sausage is packed to the brim with excellent protein sources, bringing warmth into your day with lots of Spanish hot smoked paprika and our proprietary herb and spice mix.
Perfect if you're looking for a protein rich vegetarian or vegan food, with a firm bite and the versatility to inspire a whole range of veggie meals. It is a vegan product and therefore cholesterol free.
Our meatless chorizo can be eaten hot or at room
temperature. Try it sliced or cubed, then fried in oil until it goes
crispy. We like to eat ours with scrambles, omlettes, or, cubed and added to
soups and stews. For a quick evening meal, why not add some to your favourite pasta sauce?
In chunks and brushed with oil, then sandwiched with halloumi or tofu, they make excellent veggie kebabs for the BBQ. Or, how about straight up with mustard in a baguettte, or, pepperoni style as a spicy meat free pizza topping.
When we made the transition to vegetarian food, we found that some vegetarian and vegan food lacked "bite", and, for us, the only meat based meal we missed was our chorizo based white bean stew which we used to enjoy regularly.
We set about making our own, creating a handmade spicy chorizo which was firm in texture, a world apart from some of the soft and rather bland products that feature in too many vegetarian meals. We have created something that can be used in most places that a meat chorizo sausage would be used.

Our Vegan Chorizo is high in protein and a little goes a long way. One sausage will typically serve two portions in most recipes.
They're made from a mix of beans including red kidney and chickpea, wheat protein, hot smoked paprika and our unique special blend of ten spices & herbs, extra virgin olive oil, non-GMO soy sauce, red wine vinegar, tomatoes, vegan stock.
Wheat protein is the natural protein found in wheat, it contains 75% protein. It is also an excellent source of calcium and iron and makes a tasty alternative to soy-based meat alternatives. It has a long history of use dating back to ancient China and Asian cultures where is used by Buddhist monks as a meat alternative often referred to as 'Wheat Meat'.
Paprika is a member of the same family that includes capsicum and chilli. It is mostly appreciated for its vibrant colour and agreeable, full-bodied flavour. Hot smoked paprika is like a milder chilli powder and is made in Spain by smoking over wood before grinding, giving it a delicious smoky flavour.
Paprika is unusually high in vitamin C. The capsicum peppers used for paprika contain six to nine times as much vitamin C as tomatoes by weight. As an antibacterial agent and stimulant, paprika can help normalise blood pressure, improve circulation, and increase the production of saliva and stomach acids to aid digestion.
Beans are an excellent source of protein and fibre. Beans reduce the levels of serum cholesterol and so can offer protection against heart disease. They are a great carbohydrate choice for people with diabetes or blood sugar imbalances since they are slowly digested. Beans are low in fat and a good source of calcium, potassium, iron, zinc and many B vitamins.
