Good Stuff Inside

Millet

The birds have been on to a good thing for a long time eating millet! They're not alone; it is, in fact a staple food of almost a third of the world's population.

Millet is a gluten free wholegrain which is easy to digest and has a fantastic heart-healthy magnesium content.

Eggs

When we use eggs in our cooking we always use locally sourced free range eggs.

Eggs are a rich source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids and a range of vitamins and minerals.

Red Pepper

All peppers are rich in vitamins A, C and K, but red peppers are simply bursting with them. Antioxidant vitamins A and C help to prevent cell damage, cancer, and diseases related to ageing, and they support our immune functions.

Their lovely red colour means they are a great source of the carotenoid called lycopene – one for the boys to help prevent and treat prostate cancer.

Turmeric

Turmeric is steeped in history and tradition. Its rich yellow-orange colour means it's packed with antioxidants.

Tumeric is prized for it's anti-inflammatory effects and is also thought to protect against a long and impressive list of ailments from Alzheimer's and cardiovascular problems to certain types of cancer.

Chillies

Chillies really are the central heating stars of the food world. They have antioxidant properties and warm the body by increasing blood circulation. They also stimulate the digestive system.

Onion

Onions are not only the heart of a good meal they really are a superfood and have many amazing health benefits. They are an exceptionally strong antioxidant, have anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and antiviral properties. They're packed with vitamins A, C and B complex. They can improve kidney function and help lower cholesterol.

Parsley

Parsley is a fabulous source of vitamins A and C and a good source of iron, copper and manganese. It is a digestive aid and blood purifier and can be used in the treatment of kidney and gallstone conditions and with ear infections.
